Installation and Licensing
Once you have purchased a license for pdf2cad from Visual Integrity or one of our authorized resellers, you will receive a unique license file, with instructions, which will unlock your installation for full use. If you can not find this key or need assistance, please contact us.
pdf2cad is very easy to install and has no significant system requirements. It is a small download of roughly 5Mb which is installed using standard Windows procedures.
It is compatible with the following 32-bit operating systems: Windows 98, ME, NT, 2000, XP, 2003 and Windows Vista
pdf2cad is completely self-contained and installs as a self-extracting executable.
After saving the file to your computer's hard disk, double-clicking on it will launch the installation procedure. Simply follow the instructions.
Unless you specify a different location, the installation will create a new sub-directory in C:/Program Files/Visual Integrity. The pdf2cad.exe file and associated files will be located in C:/Program Files/Visual Integrity/pdf2cad vx.x/.
pdf2cad runs in evaluation mode by default, inserting a text and grid watermark into every produced DXF file. DXF files produced with the watermark are for evaluation purposes only and may not be used to solve your business requirement.
pdf2cad is not a network or server tool, and we do not have floating licenses based on concurrent or simultaneous use. A license must be purchased for each user (multi-user packs with volume discount are available).
Visual Integrity's PDF to DXF and HPGL conversion capabilities can be deployed on servers for network access, centralized processing or batch automation. It is also available as an SDK (API, DLL) for application integration, and on Linux and UNIX platforms. Please visit www.visual-integrity.com for more information.
To see the version number of your installation and the person to which it is licensed, click on the black & blue arrow logo in the bottom-left corner of the pdf2cad interface (which will also show "EVAL" if pdf2cad is running in evaluation mode). Doing so will show this screen:
