Choose File Name and Destination

On this screen, you will be presented with a Conversion Summary. By default, pdf2cad will place the file in the same directory using the same name while adding a .dxf or .hpgl extension depending on which format you chose to convert to. For example, myfile.pdf will be converted to myfile.dxf and will be placed in the same directory as the original PDF.

For multi-page PDF files, a separate DXF file is produced for every page. Each DXF file will have the same name with a different numeric suffix. For example, myfile.dxf, myfile-2.dxf, myfile-3.dxf, etc. The syntax of this numbering can be configured (see Advanced options).

If you want to define a different filename or destination, you can set this by clicking Browse to select a different name and/or location for the conversion results. When you are ready to convert your file(s), click Convert.

If a DXF file with the same file name already exists, pdf2cad will display the warning below. Click Yes to overwrite the existing file. To assign a different file name to the new conversion, click No.
